„I stopped to walk alone in cafes.“ Blind people do not see where and how things are arranged on a table. This produces uncertainty, thus, the public space is shunned. To address it, the tablecloth “Leitfaden” has a haptic orientation: embroidery acts as guidance for plates, glass and cutlery. It invites you to explore the surface and supports the understanding of space. The traditional embroidered tablecloth is reinterpreted and allows all involved in the dining experience, including waitstuff, to interact with each other naturally, wether they are sigthed or blind.
