To mark the 100th anniversary of the Academy Burg Giebichenstein, the vase Hedwig is a nod to the legendary collaboration between the University and the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin. At the beginning of the 1930‘s, Marguerite Friedlander made a substantial impact on the Berlin manufactory, in the sense of the New Objectivity. Her most famous design was the HALLE vase of 1931. In analogy to Friedlander‘s „HALLE Vase“ a contemporary form „Hedwig“ was born. The design is based sudely on the silhouette of „HALLE Vase“ and is also shown in a reduced form.
